My love for music started at a young age growing up in the 90’s, listening to the hip hop and pop of that era. That’s when my love for a good beat first formed and quickly grew to wanting to become a DJ. That combined with a love for live music brought me to Vancouver in my 20’s to study music. In 2009 I graduated at PAVI for Audio Engineering, and also bought my first set of turntables. I have been working at venues all over BC as a Live Sound Technician and DJ ever since. There is something special about live musical performances and I love being the sound tech who gets adjust frequencies to make everything sound the best it can. With my DJing I take the skills I learned in school and use them to make seamless, well balanced transitions and mixes that keep the audience captivated from start to finish. Music has such a profound affect on people’s memories and mood. I love being the facilitator of  a good dance floor. My passion for surfing and music brought me to the west coast and I am so grateful to now do what I love, where I want to live. I am a resident Sound Technician and DJ at many of the venues in the Tofino-Ucluelet area and bring a level of professional experience to the table that puts me a cut above. I have had the pleasure of working with Canadian legends Wintersleep, Jon and Roy, Jesse Roper and Current Swell, as well as countless other bands. As DJ Jess Rabbit I have opened for some legendary DJs such as The Funk Hunters, Skiitour, Neon Steve, Rumpus, Mat the Alien, J Pod, X-Ray Ted, and WBBL, as well as headlined many of my own shows.
